Job Description As a Security Guard - Reception Desk in Kearney, NE , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer at a fast-paced tech, media, and/or telecom location, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badging, monitor alarms and cameras, and document security-related activity with clear, professional communication. You will be the first point of contact, supporting a positive guest experience while helping to reduce incidents through strong attention to detail. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Operate the front desk by greeting and directing visitors, verifying identification, issuing temporary badges, and maintaining visitor access logs.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other access control systems from the desk and report irregular activity per post orders to help to deter unwanted access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and escalating concerns through the proper channels.
  • Support a professional office environment by communicating with employees, vendors, and/or delivery personnel, enforcing sign-in requirements, and reporting maintenance or operational concerns that may impact security-related operations.
