Job Description As a Security Guard - Property Rounds Patrol in NEW YORK, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location in New York City. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist staff and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, respond to concerns, and work as part of a reliable, agile team that leads with integrity and a caring culture.

Requirements

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Client requires proof of HS Diploma/GED.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government services setting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and escalating to appropriate personnel when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, observe for unusual behavior, and support orderly entry and/or exit processes in accordance with location requirements.
  • Document routine activity and incidents in written reports and logs, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or site contacts.
