As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and media location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge checks, respond to concerns with professionalism, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. Bring strong communication and customer service skills as you work with teammates in a caring culture built on agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology campus or office location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership, Allied Universal management, and/or public responders as required.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, loading and receiving areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials and/or visitor authorization, directing guests and contractors, and maintaining required visitor and access logs.
  • Complete detailed reports of daily activity, incidents, and/or hazards; perform routine checks of doors, gates, and equipment; and communicate updates via radio, phone, and/or written logs.
