About The Position

As a Security Guard - Hospital Rounds Unarmed in Gaithersburg, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a healthcare location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, engage with staff and visitors to deliver outstanding customer service, and support a secure environment. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
A guard card or security license is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare location.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents encountered during patrols.
Communicate clearly with Allied Universal management and/or site staff regarding incidents, hazards, and other security-related matters.
Support access control procedures to help to deter unauthorized entry to restricted areas within the healthcare environment.
Assist visitors, patients, and/or staff with directions and general information as needed.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities encountered while on duty.
