About The Position

As a Security Guard - Perimeter Patrol Rover in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and outstanding customer service. You will represent Allied Universal with integrity while working as part of a team in a caring culture that values being agile, reliable, and innovative.

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, employees, and visitors by following site-specific policies, access procedures, and other security-related protocols, and/or supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to alarms, disturbances, medical calls, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document actions taken according to post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of lobbies, corridors, parking areas, stairwells, and perimeter spaces to help to deter prohibited activity and/or identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor building activity and observe for unusual conditions, reporting concerns to site management and/or Allied Universal supervision and completing required reports.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying credentials, directing visitors, and coordinating with property staff to maintain orderly movement throughout the location.
