As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a high-end retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet shoppers and staff, respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with the team. Requirements
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients at a retail location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, back-of-house areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter theft, property damage, and/or other unwanted activity.
- Monitor entrances and exits, observe customer and associate activity for unusual behavior, and report concerns according to post orders and client expectations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, notifications, and documentation as required.
- Complete required reports such as incident reports, shift activity logs, and patrol documentation, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts.
