Job Description As a Security Guard - Patient Patrol in Syracuse, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to staff, patients, and visitors. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any potential concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site protocols.
• Assist with access control procedures, including verifying credentials and providing directions as needed.
• Support Allied Universal management and site leadership with additional duties as requested, in alignment with the unique needs of a healthcare facility.
