As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine rounds throughout buildings and grounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with calm, clear communication. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with customer service, accurate reporting, and teamwork. Requirements

• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Having a guard card/license is preferred.
• Being able to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Having CPR/First Aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior corridors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards, suspicious conditions, and policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, directing foot traffic, and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and visitor flow, verify credentials when required, assist with wayfinding, and help maintain controlled access to restricted areas per site procedures.
• Complete security-related reports, incident documentation, and shift logs, and communicate observations and/or policy concerns to site leadership while respecting patient privacy and confidentiality requirements.
