As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas at innovative tech facilities and busy food and beverage locations, helping to spot and report security-related concerns. You will conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible, control access as needed, and support employees and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and employees by following Allied Universal procedures, post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, data and telecom areas, production and warehouse spaces, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter routes; working conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor management by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining logs in accordance with site requirements.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions taken, and notify site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
- Support security-related operations by observing for irregular activity, hazards, and/or policy violations, and reporting maintenance concerns such as doors, gates, lighting, and cameras to appropriate personnel.
