Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at an aero and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. You will conduct routine rounds, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, manage access points as needed, and communicate clearly with employees, visitors, and teams on site. You will bring an agile, reliable mindset, support teammates, and act with integrity while delivering strong customer service.

Requirements

  • Computer Literacy required
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Control access to buildings, manufacturing areas, and other restricted areas by verifying identification, reviewing badges and/or credentials, and directing visitors and contractors according to site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating with site contacts and/or public responders as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Complete required logs, reports, and shift handoffs using approved systems and procedures, including reporting maintenance concerns, access issues, and other security-related observations.
