You will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support operations by observing, documenting, and reporting unusual activity. You will communicate clearly with team members and site personnel, deliver customer service with a caring, people-first approach, and act with integrity while working as part of an agile, reliable, innovative team.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out post orders, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a logistics and distribution environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or operational concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouses, yard areas, trailer parking, and perimeter lines to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Control access to the location by monitoring entry and exit points, checking credentials as directed, and maintaining visitor, driver, and/or contractor logs per site procedures.
  • Complete detailed written reports of daily activities, incidents, and patrol observations, and communicate updates through approved radio, phone, and/or dispatch channels.
