As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will perform routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible, and respond to alarms and calls for assistance. You will help reduce security-related incidents through strong communication, detailed reporting, and customer-focused support for patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical alarms, and requests for assistance from hospital personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards, unsecured doors, or unusual conditions.
  • Support access control by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials when required, directing visitors, and/or assisting with visitor management processes per site policy.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs of patrol activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or responding emergency services as needed.
