As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for service, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards requiring attention.
  • Monitor access points and verify identification and/or credentials as directed by post orders; assist with visitor directions and coordinate with site contacts for entry approvals.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and service calls in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site representatives and/or public resources as required.
  • Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation; communicate shift updates and unusual conditions to Allied Universal supervision and oncoming officers.
