About The Position

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related issues, and support access control and incident reporting. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. Bring strong communication and service skills while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and always acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR/First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying identification as required, and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
  • Perform regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and coordinating with on-site points of contact and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Observe, document, and report security-related concerns, maintenance issues, and policy violations using written reports and/or electronic systems per site requirements.
  • Support government facility operations by controlling keys and/or badges when assigned, monitoring entry points, and maintaining a professional presence at all times.
