As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication. You will support students, staff, and visitors with customer service while documenting activity and sharing updates with your team. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and assisting with scene management as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, common spaces, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, verify identification or authorization when required, and assist with visitor direction and campus-related inquiries.
  • Complete detailed written reports of daily activities, incidents, and irregularities, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
