As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential apartment community, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, complete detailed reports, and respond to calls for service while maintaining a highly visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license from the state in which the job is located is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A minimum of 6+ months of security experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting property management and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of residential buildings, amenities, parking areas, and the property perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, unauthorized persons, and/or property concerns, and report findings per post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Complete timely documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and communicate relevant information during shift briefings and/or pass-downs.
