About The Position

As an unarmed, driving patrol officer in a residential community, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to resident needs with clear communication and customer-focused service. You will document observations, report concerns, and support a welcoming environment while living Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, community policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with property staff and/or local public services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential streets, common areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and vehicle and pedestrian traffic within the community, verifying authorization when required and directing visitors to appropriate locations.
  • Complete shift activity reports and incident documentation, communicate pertinent information to oncoming personnel, and support Allied Universal post orders and client-specific instructions.
