About The Position

As a Security Guard - Mobile Patrol in De Soto, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet and assist employees and visitors, communicate clearly, and report concerns promptly. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following site-specific policies, access procedures, and security-related protocols, and/or assisting with directions and general inquiries.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site contacts and/or public emergency services as required.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or unauthorized access.
  • Monitor entry points and controlled areas, verify identification and/or authorization when required, and assist with managing visitor check-in and badge procedures per site guidelines.
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision, and support security-related investigations as directed.
