Requirements

• Vaccines are required for this hospital site.
• Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely communication with site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas during patrols, verify credentials when required, and assist with visitor wayfinding and/or directions to departments.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities in written reports and/or electronic systems, and relay pertinent information during shift handoff.
