About The Position

As a Security Guard - Media Building Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain visible throughout the premises to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
Maintain awareness of the surroundings within a technology-focused environment, reporting any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Document observations, incidents, and/or activities as required by site protocols and Allied Universal policies.
Assist visitors, employees, and/or contractors with directions and information while upholding security-related protocols specific to a tech and media workplace.
Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site management to support a secure and welcoming environment for all occupants.
