Job Description As a Security Guard - Manufacturing Patrol in Lafayette, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you conduct routine patrols and provide exceptional customer service. This is a driving post. You will work as part of a reliable and agile team, communicating clearly and acting with integrity to support a secure environment for employees and visitors.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the manufacturing and industrial environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and promote a secure environment.
Document security-related incidents and observations according to Allied Universal protocols and client site requirements.
Collaborate with site personnel and local authorities when necessary to address incidents and/or emergencies.
Remain alert and observant while on duty, adapting to changing environments and conditions typical of a manufacturing and industrial location.
