About The Position

As a Security Guard - Manufacturing Site in Roanoke, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Requirements

• Have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal and location procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, loading docks, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Control access by monitoring entrances, checking identification and/or credentials, managing visitor logs, and directing deliveries and contractors according to location requirements.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken per post orders.
• Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and security-related observations, and communicate with supervision, site contacts, and/or public emergency services when required.
