Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Being at least 21 years of age is preferred.
The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience in loss prevention is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining clear communication with team members and management.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and support a welcoming environment.
Observe and report any unusual activity, potential threats, or maintenance issues within the retail environment.
Work closely with store staff and management to address security-related concerns and assist with crowd management during busy periods.
Maintain accurate and detailed written reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site policies.
Assist visitors and employees with directions and general inquiries, supporting a positive experience at the location.
