About The Position

As a Security Guard - Mall Patrol Driver in Joliet, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. This is a primarily driving position, where your presence on patrol helps to create a welcoming atmosphere for staff and visitors. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
State, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Primarily driving post is preferred.
Guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing Allied Universal protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
Assist visitors, customers, and employees with questions or directions as part of daily patrol duties.
Support access control measures by monitoring entry and exit points during patrols.
Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
Work collaboratively with store staff and management to maintain a secure environment for employees and patrons.
