About The Position

As a Security Guard - Mall Customer Service Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a retail environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and support a welcoming atmosphere for guests and staff. Requirements

A Guard Card or security-related license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter undesirable activity and promote a welcoming environment.
Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
Assist visitors, customers, and employees with directions and general inquiries to support a positive experience at the location.
Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and site staff to address security-related concerns and support daily operations.
