About The Position

As a Security Guard - Mall Bicycle Patrol in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a bustling retail location, where you will monitor and patrol designated areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. This is a driving position, requiring a valid driver's license. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Able to ride a bike.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or unusual occurrences in and around the location.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas as required by site protocols.
Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
