About The Position

As a Security Guard - Licensed Patrol Rounds in BRONX, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that can help discourage incidents, and support staff and visitors with strong customer service and communication. You will complete routine rounds, observe for security-related concerns, document activity, and report issues promptly. Requirements

  • A New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • A minimum of 1+ years of security experience is required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government services setting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or public resources as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, lobbies, corridors, stairwells, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Control access by monitoring doors and visitor flow, verifying identification and/or credentials when required, and directing individuals to appropriate service areas in accordance with location procedures.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate significant activity to site leadership, and support investigations by preserving observations and maintaining a professional presence.
