Job Description As a Security Guard - Hospital Rounds Patrol in Syracuse, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence within a dynamic healthcare environment. You will play a key role in supporting a welcoming atmosphere for staff, patients, and visitors while delivering excellent customer service. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and address potential concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activities.
• Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to site protocols.
• Assist staff, visitors, and patients with directions and general information as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
• Support emergency response activities and collaborate with local authorities or first responders when required.
