As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and deliver helpful customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. This is a driving post, supporting patrol coverage across campus areas, including high-traffic vaccine operations. Requirements

  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, access guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with hospital staff and/or local emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards requiring attention.
  • Monitor entry points, corridors, and common areas for policy compliance, including visitor management, restricted-area control, and reporting of suspicious activity.
  • Complete security-related reports and documentation for incidents, patrol observations, and service calls, and communicate updates to supervision and/or client representatives.
