Security Guard - Hospital Patrol - Full Time
About The Position
As a Security Guard - Hospital Patrol - Full Time in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Allied Universal Patrol Unarmed Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, support access control and badge checks, and assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will bring an agile, reliable, and innovative mindset, work as part of a caring team, and act with integrity on every shift.
Requirements
- Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating with clinical teams, and/or requesting additional support when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior areas and around the perimeter, observing for unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior.
- Monitor entrances, corridors, waiting areas, and/or parking areas; assist with wayfinding and compliance with posted location rules while maintaining a professional presence.
- Document and report incidents, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns using required reports and communication channels, and support investigations by preserving observations and relevant details.
