As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government healthcare location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with calm, clear communication. You will document activity, support staff and visitors with customer service, and work closely with site teams. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government healthcare facilities, including interior areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, as required by post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts when appropriate and requesting assistance from site leadership and/or public responders.
  • Monitor access points and common areas, help to deter unauthorized entry, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations per site guidelines.
  • Complete detailed activity and incident reports, maintain accurate logs, and communicate security-related information to supervisors, client representatives, and/or incoming officers during shift transitions.
