As a Security Guard - Hospital Entrance Patrol in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling designated areas. This is a driving post, so you will operate a vehicle as part of your duties. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and granting entry as appropriate.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations or medical incidents as needed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and observations according to Allied Universal procedures.
