Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the interior and perimeter of the healthcare location, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain awareness of the flow of individuals throughout the premises.
Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or security-related incidents according to established protocols.
Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel as needed to address security-related concerns and provide information or assistance.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of activities, incidents, and observations as required by site-specific policies.
Support a welcoming and orderly environment for patients, visitors, and staff by upholding Allied Universal standards and the requirements specific to the healthcare location.
