Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing armed security-related protocols as required by the site.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or breaches of site policies.
Communicate and collaborate with healthcare staff and emergency responders during incidents and/or drills.
Document incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
Support the enforcement of site rules, regulations, and policies to help to deter disruptive behavior and/or security-related risks.
