As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while supporting a welcoming environment. Requirements

At least one year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
At least six months of security-related experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Hospital-specific vaccines are required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at the healthcare location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including emergency response activities as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and support the protection of people and property.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to established protocols.
Interact professionally with staff, patients, and visitors to address questions, provide directions, and offer assistance as needed.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and promptly communicate any unusual or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel or authorities.
Carry and maintain responsibility for assigned firearms and related equipment in accordance with company and site-specific guidelines.
