As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet staff and visitors, respond to questions and concerns, and report issues through clear communication. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior corridors, lobbies, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Control access to the facility by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials as required, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in points in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating with on-site clinical leadership and/or local responders, and completing required notifications.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in daily logs and incident reports, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
