As a Security Guard - Healthcare Access Control Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help create a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in a healthcare environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, in accordance with Allied Universal protocols and location guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols within the healthcare facility and around its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
- Support emergency response activities as needed, following established procedures for healthcare locations.
- Observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards to the appropriate personnel and/or management.
- Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with all individuals encountered during the course of duties, upholding the standards of Allied Universal.
