Requirements
- A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
- Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related concerns to the appropriate authorities and/or Allied Universal management.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying identification as required by site-specific protocols.
- Maintain detailed and accurate logs of activities, incidents, and observations during the shift.
- Support emergency response efforts by following established protocols and assisting first responders as directed.
- Provide clear and courteous communication with the public, staff, and visitors at the location.
