Job Description As a Security Guard - Government Grounds Patrol in QUEENS, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. Your role will involve conducting routine patrols, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining clear communication with site personnel. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your daily duties. Join a team that values agility, reliability, and integrity.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of the government location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential issues.
Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and unusual occurrences according to established protocols.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to employees and visitors at the government location.
Perform access control duties, including verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points as required by site-specific policies.
