Job Description As a Security Guard - Government Building Rounds in Albuquerque, NM , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. You will conduct routine patrols and interact with visitors and staff, supporting a welcoming environment. Requirements
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the government location and its perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
- Help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a visible presence throughout the assigned area.
- Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or incidents to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
- Follow post orders and instructions specific to the government location, adapting to any changes as required.
- Assist visitors and employees with directions and general information while maintaining professionalism.
- Participate in training and meetings as required by Allied Universal.
