As a Security Guard - Gate Security Driver in Nederland, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and document security-related events with clear communication. You will remain visible, provide customer service, and support team coordination while following site procedures with integrity. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license under Allied Universal driver policy requirements, supporting agile, reliable, and innovative service.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at gates and/or entry points by verifying identification and authorization, processing visitors and contractors, issuing temporary credentials, and maintaining accurate entry and exit logs.
  • Conduct vehicle and pedestrian screening as required, including checking deliveries against approved documentation and coordinating with site personnel for access approvals and/or denials.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations through established notification channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
