About The Position

As a Security Guard Full-Time Overnight Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will interact with staff and visitors, provide strong customer service and communication, and contribute to a caring, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or agency personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government services location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entry points, common areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns.
Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, checking designated areas, and reporting unauthorized entry attempts, suspicious behavior, and/or prohibited items in accordance with site procedures.
Support daily operations by preparing reports, maintaining activity logs, providing direction to the public, and assisting with de-escalation during sensitive interactions in a professional manner.
