Job Description As a Security Guard - Foot Patrol Rounds in Bronx, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location supporting community services, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will assist with access control, observe and report unusual activity, and communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and residents. Bring an agile, reliable mindset, work as part of a team, and act with integrity while delivering caring customer service.

Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security experience.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior and exterior areas, including common spaces and perimeter points, as permitted by post orders and site conditions.
• Monitor access points, help to deter unauthorized entry, and direct individuals to appropriate check-in and/or service areas in a respectful, professional manner.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and public agency partners as required by post orders.
• Document observations, incidents, and/or maintenance concerns in required reports and logs, and communicate relevant updates during shift transitions.
