Job Description As a Security Guard - Foot Patrol Officer in Tuscaloosa, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication while documenting observations and reporting concerns. Requirements

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access control guidelines, and security-related protocols in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate clinical staff and/or public emergency services as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or policy concerns.
• Monitor alarms, CCTV, and other security-related systems as assigned, and document observations and actions in detailed reports and shift logs.
• Assist with visitor management and wayfinding, support lost and found and property documentation, and provide standby presence during patient or staff interactions when requested.
