Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the needs of the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, visitor management, and/or escorting authorized individuals as needed.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or members of the public while on patrol.
• Complete required logs, incident reports, and documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
