Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and protocols, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any unusual activities, security-related hazards, or incidents according to established protocols.
Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, site personnel, and first responders as needed.
Assist with access control and monitor entry points to help to deter unauthorized access.
Document all incidents, observations, and actions taken during the shift in detailed and accurate reports.
