Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, support access control and alarm response, and communicate clearly with team members and site contacts. Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, drivers, and visitors by following site-specific policies and supporting security-related procedures at a logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the warehouse, yard, dock areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
- Control access by verifying identification, managing visitor and contractor check-in, and directing deliveries to designated areas according to site procedures.
- Complete detailed reports of patrol observations, incidents, and irregularities, and communicate updates to supervisors and oncoming officers.
