As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will support staff and visitors with clear communication, quick assistance, and professional customer service while documenting observations using site technology. Requirements

  • Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have a state, county, or city issued security license, preferred.
  • Have CPR and/or First Aid certification, preferred, and it may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points such as entrances, lobby areas, and ATM or night depository areas as assigned, observing for suspicious behavior and/or unsafe conditions and reporting concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, notifying appropriate parties, and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision, and support security-related investigations as directed.
