As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will assist guests and tenants with directions and questions, communicate clearly with site contacts, and document observations. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, tenants, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, storefront perimeters, and parking locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including addressing disturbances, assisting with lost child and/or lost property situations, and contacting law enforcement and/or management as directed by post orders.
- Monitor entrances, loading and/or service corridors as assigned, helping to control access, observe for suspicious behavior, and support orderly foot traffic during peak shopping hours and special events.
- Complete written and/or electronic reports such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate key information to site leadership and the Allied Universal chain of command.
