As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet guests, assist with directions and concerns, and communicate clearly with store teams while documenting observations. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Have X-Ray screening experience preferred.
• Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
• Have loss prevention experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store staff by following site-specific procedures and policies, and when appropriate, supporting emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail sales floors, common areas, entrances, loading areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee traffic for unusual conditions, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or local responders per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, suspected theft activity, medical situations, and alarms, and complete required notifications.
• Document observations, incident details, and patrol activity in written reports and/or electronic systems according to Allied Universal and site requirements.
